Since its founding in 1969, the Naval War College Foundation has partnered with the Naval War College in carrying out its vital mission of educating the military leaders of the United States and its friends and allies around the globe.
In its 117 year history, the War College has produced more than 26,000 graduates. Its earlier graduates were primarily Naval officers. More recently, with greater emphasis on joint operations, officers from all of our armed services have come to the College for their professional, graduate level education, as have senior civilians from several government agencies. In addition, thousands of international officers have benefited from the course of instruction here, many becoming the chief of their navies.
The Naval War College Foundation works to enrich the educational excellence of the College. In doing so, it utilizes contributions from members and other generous donors, along with grants from other foundations and organizations, to support academic, research and gaming programs as well as facilities for which funding from the US Government is not sufficient.
In today's budget environment, just like the majority of defense colleges and academies, indeed almost all public and private institutions of higher education, the Naval War College must rely on private support. The Foundation is pleased and proud to be the vehicle through which your gift in support of the College can be channeled. Please remember that the Naval War College Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity. All contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible. Please click below to make an online contribution. We are most grateful for your support.
Donations to the Foundation may be made in memory of a deceased relative or friend or in honor of someone important to the donor. For a minimum gift of $25, the person's name will be displayed in the lobby of Spruance Auditorium. Neither the donor's name nor the amount donated will appear.
