2020 Current Strategy Forum hosted by the Naval War College

The Naval War College (NWC) will host the Current Strategy Forum (CSF) on June 16-17, 2020 at the NWC campus on Naval Station Newport. This signature event started in 1949 as a “Round Table Talk” for scholars and practitioners to discuss the future strategy of the United States and has expanded to include civilian and military leaders from across the Nation who gather to engage in discussion and debate about national and international security.

This year’s theme is Strategies for Prevailing in Great Power Competition¬†which reflects the recent shift in the National Security Strategy (NSS) from the war on terror to prevailing in the global competitive environment. CSF will address the security challenges associated with Great Power Competition and will examine the strategic courses of action open to the United States and its international partners in this era of heightened great power competition.

Please note that participation in CSF is by invitation only and the NWCF is allocated a limited number of tickets for our members and donors. Registration is expected to open in mid- to late April. More details about this event will be forthcoming; be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for the latest updates.
