Newport Lecture Series with Dr. Olenda Johnson and and Dr. Liz Cavallaro (virtual)

Join us on December 9, 2020 at our Newport Lecture Series with a presentation from Dr. Olenda Johnson on the topic of “Teaching Leadership to Navy Senior Leaders . . . and Doing So Virtually!” Dr. Johnson will be joined by Dr. Liz Cavallaro, an assistant professor in the College of Leadership and Ethics.

This lecture describes the journey taken by the U.S. Naval War College, College of Leadership and Ethics (CLE), in teaching a weeklong leadership course for 2-star Navy admirals, Marine general officers, and senior executive civilians. As directed by the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO), CLE has responsibility for Flag Officer Leader Development. This session provides a window into the learning and development processes that were utilized to advance senior level leadership, especially during this unprecedented year.

The lecture will be held virtually and participants will have an opportunity to submit questions via chat. To register, please visit: NLS with Dr. Johnson and Dr. Cavallaro
