About the Speakers

LTC Joseph Pasko, USAF

LTC Pasko is the Commanding Officer of the 159th Fighter Squadron based in Jacksonville. He has completed two combat deployments in support of Operations NEW DAWN, ENDURING FREEDOM, and NOBLE EAGLE. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the Naval Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). He has received advanced training on the F-35 and most recently graduated as a Distinguished Graduate from the U.S. Naval War College (USNWC).

CAPT James Ransom, USN (Ret.)

CAPT Ransom is the former Commanding Officer of the nuclear submarine USS Miami and served for 30 years as a submarine officer. Under his command, the submarine participated in operations against Iraq and Serbia. He is a recipient of both the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor at the USNWC, where he teaches Strategy and Policy. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the USNWC.

Major Kristian Tonnessen, USAFR

Major Tonnessen is an aircraft commander of the KC-135R serving in the 121st Air Refueling Wing of the Ohio National Guard. He has been deployed in numerous refueling operations, including Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Sentinel, Inherent Resolve, and Poseidon Archer, and has accumulated more than 2,700 flight hours. He currently serves as a First Officer for United Airlines. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
