Since its founding in 1969, the Naval War College Foundation has partnered with the Naval War College to carry out its vital mission of educating the military leaders of the United States and its friends and allies around the globe.
In its 135-year history, the College has produced more than 30,000 graduates. Its earlier graduates were primarily Naval officers. More recently, with greater emphasis on joint operations, officers from all armed services have come to the College for their professional, graduate level education, as have senior civilians from several government agencies. In addition, thousands of international officers have benefited from the course of instruction here, many becoming the chief of their navies.
The Naval War College Foundation works to enrich the educational excellence of the College. In doing so, it utilizes contributions from members and other generous donors, along with grants from other foundations and organizations, to support academic, research and gaming programs as well as facility needs.
In today’s budget environment, just like the majority of defense colleges and academies, indeed almost all public and private institutions of higher education, the Naval War College must rely on private support. The Foundation is proud to be the vehicle through which your gift in support of the College can be channeled. Please remember that the Naval War College Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) entity; all contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible. Thank you for your generosity and support.
