More about Dr. Creely
Dr. Tom Creely is Creator and Director of the Ethics and Emerging Military Technology Graduate Certificate Program and Associate Professor at the United States Naval War College. He curates ethics and technology research for the Department of Defense Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, Defense Innovation Board, National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence, and U.S. Cyber Solarium Commission. He is an affiliate of the Jahn Research Group University of Wisconsin Madison. In the Brown University Master Science in Cybersecurity, he is adjunct faculty. Tom is consulted by The Wall Street Journal WSJ Pro AI. He served 2016-2017 on the NATO Science and Technology Organization Technical Team.
Tom, holding a Ph.D. in Ethics of Technology, is published in Elsevier Ethics, Medicine, and Public Health Journal, International Journal of Ethical Leadership, The Northern Plain Ethics Journal, and book chapters. His formal presentations include Naval War College Conferences, Boston Global Forum, AI World Government 2019, The Conference Board, and Association for Practical and Professional Ethics.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics. Past service includes Executive Advisory Board – AI World Government 2019, The Conference Board Global Business Conduct Council, Board of Directors of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, and Atlanta Braves Advisory Committee. A retired Navy Chaplain, his Navy career included sea, ashore, overseas, and the Marine Corps, as well as having served as an enlisted Sailor.
