The Naval War College Foundation Hosts Virtual 2020 San Francisco Symposium

Oct 19, 2020

This year’s San Francisco Symposium was hosted by the Naval War College Foundation on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Focusing on a theme of “International Order and Great Power Competition,” the Symposium featured presentations by U.S. Naval War College Professors Colin Jackson, PhD, Chair, Strategic and Operational Research Department, and Mary Thompson-Jones, EdD, National Security Affairs Department.

Dr. Jackson examined “The Promise and Limitations of Realism: U.S. Grand Strategy in an Age of Great Power Competition”, and Dr. Thompson-Jones discussed “America’s Fourth Coast: The Challenge of Great Power Competition in the Arctic.” Participants had an opportunity to ask questions of the professors after each presentation.

Thank you to everyone who attended the San Francisco Symposium and who so generously donated in support of the NWCF and the Naval War College. A replay is now available for those who were unable to attend.
