The Naval War College Foundation proudly congratulates Culinary Specialist Senior Chief Petty Officer Jeremy J. Andersen, USN, on being named Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Federation (ACF), Rhode Island Chapter. This prestigious honor recognizes Chef Andersen’s outstanding contributions to the culinary profession, his unwavering dedication to excellence, and his exemplary service to both the Navy and the broader culinary community.

Currently serving as the Enlisted Aide to the President of the U.S. Naval War College (USNWC), CSCS Andersen brings decades of culinary experience, leadership, and mentorship to his role. He embodies the highest standards of professionalism and performance, commanding the respect of his peers and the admiration of all who work alongside him.

Born in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, CSCS Andersen began his naval career in 2007 and quickly distinguished himself through a series of both operational and shore-based assignments. His operational experience includes service onboard the PCU New Hampshire (SSN-778) and USS Forrest Sherman (DDG-98), while his ashore contributions span multiple key leadership roles, including service as a Senior Enlisted Aide to VADM James J. Malloy, USN (Ret.), ADM Michael M. Gilday, USN (Ret.), and VADM Peter A. Garvin, USN.

CSCS Andersen’s impact reaches well beyond the kitchen. A certified Executive Chef and 21-year ACF member, he mentors aspiring culinary professionals and supports their certification journeys. His commitment to community is clear, from helping Girl Scouts earn their cooking badge to leading high school students through a five-course meal. He shares his skills to educate and inspire.

A regular participant in culinary competitions, CSCS Andersen has earned multiple silver medals this year at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute and is slated to represent the U.S. Navy at the ACF National Convention in Las Vegas. His involvement in local and national ACF chapters, social media engagement, and tireless advocacy for the profession underscore his dynamic leadership in the industry.

This recognition as ACF Rhode Island Chapter Chef of the Year is a testament to CSCS Andersen’s skill, service, and steadfast commitment to excellence. We are honored to have him as part of the USNWC community and applaud his many achievements. Bravo Zulu, CSCS Andersen!
