The Naval War College Foundation was created in 1969 by forward-looking, community-minded individuals whose goals were to contribute to the educational excellence of the College.

The NWCF, powered by the generosity of its members and donors, provides critical funding to the Naval War College to enrich and enhance the programs and initiatives offered by the College.

NWCF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Foundation funds are derived from individual and corporate membership contributions as well as gifts and grants received from individuals, other foundations and organizations.
