REGENT Craft, headquartered in North Kingstown, RI, has joined the Naval War College Foundation (NWCF) as a 2024 Corporate Partner. REGENT’s partnership will support various U.S. Naval War College (USNWC) initiatives, including faculty research, student enrichment, and outreach activities.
“The NWCF is delighted to partner with REGENT Craft, an innovative Rhode Island company, to support innovative scholarship at the USNWC,” said Kimberly Berry, NWCF Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. “REGENT brings a unique perspective to engagement events like our Newport National Security Symposium and smaller roundtable discussions with policy leaders, retired flag officers, faculty, and other corporate executives, enriching these conversations for our community of supporters.”
Since engaging with the Foundation, REGENT’s executive team members have attended the NWCF’s 2023 Newport National Security Symposium and war game demonstration. REGENT also won the top team prize at the Foundation’s Clay Shoots in October 2023 and April 2024.
REGENT is the developer and manufacturer of all-electric seagliders. The flagship seaglider, the Viceroy, is a 12-passenger vessel that travels up to 180mph to service routes up to 180 miles on a single charge. REGENT has already secured more than 600 seaglider orders valued at more than $9 billion from leading airline and ferry operators worldwide and has raised over $90 million from investors, including 8090 Industries, Founders Fund, Japan Airlines, and Lockheed Martin Ventures. The REGENT team is working to bring the zero-emission, high-speed seagliders to market by mid-decade. In October 2023, the company signed a $4.75 million deal with the U.S. Marine Corps Warfighting Lab to demonstrate seaglider technology and advance prototype development for defense logistics operations.
